Hotel Indigo El Paso Downtown

Great hotel

My husband and I stayed at the Indigo separately on two occasions to visit our daughter and we both really liked the hotel. It is very nicely decorated and maintained and the beds are SO comfortable. The staff is courteous and helpful and the hotel is in a great location downtown. The entire area is clean and we felt very safe. The restaurant downstairs has amazing food and the bar on the main floor also has a good selection of bar food. The pool area is beautiful. I sat and read my book for a long time and there were very few others around. We have stayed at other nice hotels in the area, but we will go back to Indigo on the next trip.

I gifted my parents a birthday trip, should of booked through third party instead of direct. Since I wasn’t present I had to “email” a signed credit card authorization form, therefore I would need to access a printer, sign, and email back. When I gave grief, I had to email a picture of my ID and credit card. That wasn’t an option at first though and it wasn’t an issue the first time I booked a night stay at the same place a month prior. They were able to confirm my previous stay and that the same exact card was used. Having to deal with that over the phone with a guy reading policies that didn’t apply before all while my parents get to just stand there waiting to check in. There should be a policy for receiving digital copies of sensitive information without being encrypted. I booked the exact same way as the previous time with reservation made under my dads name who was present with a valid ID. Not to mention, this is a border town with Mexico. A 15 minute drive to Mexico and nobody could assist them with the language barrier. Nobody at the front desk spoke Spanish to properly communicate the issue. NEVER staying booking or paying anything to do with this place. I don’t appreciate the way it was handled policy or not, apparently it’s the luck of a draw of who you get at the front desk to have a hospitable check in at a HOTEL.

The location is my main reason for booking this hotel. The hotel was clean, the staff had good customer service, and they were knowledgeable. The restaurant was good and inviting. The pool was crowded, but that's not something anyone could change or improve, unless, of course, the pool is open to the public.

We enjoyed our stay other than the pool traffic, alot of groups of kids very loud from open to close...... to find out the next day when some of them came back to look for a left Apple watch that the weren't staying in the hotel they came in dressed in swim suits went right to the pool and no one questioned them...... I understand people travel with kids but when they are that disrespectful and causes complaints to the desk they should be addressed .
